Understanding Key Terms in Reports

Before diving into the reports, it’s important to understand key terms used throughout.

Transaction - In Circularo, a transaction is a single, unique request made by a user to process a document within the organization’s environment. It can be a simple self-signing action or a complex multi-recipient workflow. A transaction is counted as consumed once initiated, regardless of whether it is completed, rejected, canceled, or expired.

Completed Transaction - A transaction where all required actions have been successfully completed, and the workflow has finished.

Failed Transactions - Transactions can fail for three reasons:

  • Canceled - The sender (document owner) manually stops the transaction.

  • Rejected - One of the recipients declines the request.

  • Expired - The transaction deadline passes before completion.

Documents - Refers to files uploaded or created in Circularo. Simply uploading a document does not consume a transaction unless it is processed through a workflow (e.g., signing, approval). Therefore, the number of documents in the system may be different from the number of consumed transactions.
