External Recipient Verification Options
On this page you will find an overview of the different possible ways an external recipient can be verified in Circularo. This is not a guide for these options, you can find that in our End User Guide.
The first and default way of verifying a recipient is through the email address that has to be input when sending them a document, which is an automatic part of the process. The recipient is verified by having access to the email address and being able to access the document through a link sent to the email.
Password
This option will require the recipient to input a password to be able to access the document. The password is set up by the creator. How that password is shared with the recipient is up to the sender.
SMS 2FA/OTP
(add-on available for Business and Enterprise)
A text message is sent with a one-time pin to a phone number that was entered during initiation of the signing process when the recipient attempts to open the document.
Email OTP
Sends a one-time pin to a chosen email address when the recipient attempts to open the document.
OAuth
Asks the recipient to authenticate their identity through a 3rd party provider by logging into an existing account with that provider.
Supported providers:
Microsoft
Dropbox
Identity providers:
UAE Pass (add-on; on MENA cloud on by default; options to verify email address, phone number or Emirates ID)
Nafath (add-on; options to verify email address, phone number, or Emirates ID)
BankID (add-on)
Using a national identity provider for external recipient verification is always more secure as getting an account with that provider comes with more security measures than creating an account with a regular provider.
